MCLAREN F1 VISION

2017 / 2026 Development

The Design goal of this project is a Re-Envisioning of the historical and ultimately the greatest production supercar, the McLaren F1.

A contemporary Vision of what the McLaren F1 in todays Hyper-car segment would be. Combining aerodynamic advancements and elements that have been seen in the new Le-Mans Hyper-Car class over the past years. While maintaining key elements that marked what embodied and made the McLaren F1 the peak of automotive design and engineering of its time.

The packaging is based on its quintessential Three-Seater, Center Driver position monocoque Carbon tub. With a theoretical Mid-Engine 6.3L V12 Cosworth designed engine. Similar to Gordon Murray's T50 and the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which are the segment and competition this design is based around. Further more key design elements of this design are based on the principal of downforce itself. The overall form of the design is the theoretical idea of an inverted wing. Where the whole of the form itself is creating downforce aside of design elements contributing to the management of air-flow. Operating through the principles of negative lift, manipulating air pressure to create a suction effect.
