Volvo Trucks Corporate Sponsored Senior Project for AAU and Volvo

A project where I was given the opportunity as a Team Lead by the schools Industrial Design Directors Tom Matano and Antonio Borja to develop a compelling project to present to Volvo Truck corp.

The Project presented by Volvo Trucks was to design a future vision for the brand. To envision a full size Autonomous Semi-Trailer Truck for the year 2030.

Title of the Project is; KMV Forces That Power

The goal of my teams project was to present a fully capable and holistic system that revolves around the optimization and enhance the fluidity of short and long distance logistics. As well as high demand volumes of delivery services. With precise and flexible systematic overview. The system itself would encompass a network of interconnect autonomous trucks that would work and operate as drones independently while simultaneously maintaining communication with one another.

Creating a cloud-based support system while being overwatched at logistics management base center. Where what once was your truck driver now becomes a sort of drone operators/logistic managers. Maintaining an overview and oversight of all logistical operations. From all logistical aspects such as deliveries and pickups, to maintenance of the drone trucks themself.
